When a depression episode hits it can feel as if you lose connection with yourself and relationships, have no desire to partake in activities you once loved, are constantly tired, have low motivation, struggle to eat or eat more than normal, feel like your life is worthless and you may even have suicidal ideation. These symptoms can feel isolating and fear inducing. At Novo Therapy we offer you a safe, non-shaming space to process all of these emotions and feelings at your own pace. You will never be judged for the way your mind is working, you will be accepted and seen. You are worthy of healing and healing is possible, it just may take some self compassion and understanding to get there.

With the thoughts of worthlessness and the lack of desire to get out of bed, at times it can feel like therapy is the last thing you want to go to. This makes sense. It is brave to even be considering therapy. We encourage you to take a step towards healing by starting therapy. This will be a place where you can come to feel all your emotions or to talk about your numbness to emotions. This will be a place for you to explore the root of your depression or to just sit and talk about your frustrations with life right now at this moment. There are no “shoulds” or expectations of you in therapy, come as you are because you are worthy of healing.
